Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is preparing to hold a major launch event in Delhi today. The Chinese smartphone company will introduce two new budget smartphones, namely the Redmi 12 5G and Redmi 12 4G, alongside the Redmi Watch 3 Active, Redmi earphones, and Xiaomi TV X series. The event is scheduled to begin at 12:00 noon today.

Tip According to Abishek Yadav, the Redmi 12 5G is likely to come in two variants – one with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage and the other with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The 6GB RAM variant is expected to be priced at Rs 9,999, while the 8GB RAM model may cost Rs 13,999.

The Redmi 12 5G will be powered by a Snapdragon chipset and will feature a triple camera setup with a 50-megapixel main camera and film filters. It has a rainbow tinted crystal glass powered by a 5,000mAh battery and a punch hole for the front camera.

According to reports, the Redmi 12 5G will feature a large 6.79-inch FHD+ display with a high refresh rate of 90Hz and a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. It runs Android 13-based MIUI 14 out of the box. The smartphone is also expected to have a 3 mm audio jack and IP rating.

Additionally, Xiaomi’s official account has teased the launch of a new budget smartwatch, the Redmi Watch 3 Active, which has similar global specifications and will be available in two colors. The smartwatch is expected to be priced under Rs 5,000 in India. In addition, Xiaomi will introduce its new range of smart TVs, the Xiaomi TV X series, following the success of last year’s 4K TVs.
